Bernhard Bendel Pre-Primary and Primary School

This is the school that the older children from Sun of Hope Orphanage attended before our new school, Sun of Hope Primary School, was built.  It is about a 10-hour drive (one way) between the schools.  Our children and many other children boarded there.  Boarding school is common in Tanzania.  Secondary schools are all boarding schools even the government schools.

Bernhard Bendel Pre-Primary and Primary School is in the Morogoro Region.  It was founded by the Holy Spirit Sisters in 2002.  Now the citizens of the local area have a quality school to attend.  Government schools are typically poorly maintained, staffed, and supplied.  The enrollment is currently 616 students with 91 of them being preschoolers.

The school faces a challenge with water supply.  They need to build a water catchment system.  Gutters and water tanks will cost about $15,000.00.  Please donate toward this cause if you can.
